This is the first of a series of archival recordings that Oorbeek will make available on Bandcamp.

In 2011 Oorbeek was asked to provide music for the dance performance ‘Loss’ by the Eskalibur theatre group. Eskalibur was a theatre company for mentally handicapped actors and dancers and ‘Loss’ was the second Eskalibur piece for which Oorbeek did the music.
Eskalibur no longer exists, but some of the people, including the choreographer Marjolein Palthe, started a new workshop/theatre group called Fenix Theatermakers and Oorbeek looks forward to working with these special dancers and actors again…

As Oorbeek vocalist Mark van Tongeren was out of the country, we asked singer Laurel Elam Howard to join Oorbeek for these recordings.

‘Loss’ was choreographed by Marjolein Palthe and Ineke van Wijngaarden.
